Our Approach, Mission & Beliefs
chART Project’s mission is to use public art to drive urban renewal and social engagement, in order to create more sustainable, cohesive and healthier communities. Our approach is based on an integrated model of public art that seeks to break the barrier between clients, artists, community and consultants through collaboration and engagement, allowing chART to act as a seamless extension of a project’s development, installation, and facilitation. Because we believe that public art is a catalyst for community engagement rather than passive “public decoration”, stakeholder engagement is a key part of our process, which means chART Projects takes an active role not only in public art plan development, but also in community strategic planning.
